Software Request

Service Description:

Many different software packages are available, either through OTDI's or CFAES site licenses.

If what you need is not directly available from self-service on your Windows or Macintosh, we can assist in purchasing and install.  Please note that some pieces of software may not be installed on university-owned machines due to security or configuration concerns within the university environment. 

Please also note that certain pieces of software may need to go through a security evaluation to determine whether or not they can process University data.  The risk assessment process will extend delivery times.  Contact the IT Service Desk as soon as possible for application and software renewals to avoid delays or lapses in service.

What Is Included:

CFAES will assist in obtaining software for a particular user’s needs.

Assistance with purchasing specific software and acquisition; obtaining academic pricing (when available and applicable); adhering to OSU security and university purchasing requirements.


None for service; certain software may require a fee.
